Ximenia Oil (Ximenia americana)

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ximenia

Ximenia trees, commonly known as wild plum or monkey plum trees, are found across Southern Africa, growing at low altitudes in woodlands and grassy savannahs. Ximenia oil is produced by Producing Associations in Namibia, Mozambique or Swaziland. In 2001, Ximenia was included in list of priority species to be promoted by the Indigenous Plant Task Team. NadiaZ is dedicated to assist by supporting and advising the producers while promoting this wonderful oil in the formulation of high quality products, therefore raising its market value and thus the benefits communities can obtain.

Properties

Ximenia oil contains Ximenynic acid, which has been shown to improve blood flow in the skin. Due to the exceptionally long fatty acid composition of the oil, it is known for its anti-aging effects and has amazing nourishing and moisturizing properties, reducing inflammation and redness, and improving skin elasticity.

Benefits

Women and girls in Southern Africa use Ximenia oil to soften their skin, and condition their hair. It is very popular as a massage treatment for dry and chapped skin. Its texture is very unique: thick, sticky, non-siccative and immensely protective.

Use in NadiaZ

NadiaZ is the first company to introduce Ximenia oil into perfumes thanks to its fixative properties, thus creating lasting aromas.
For nourishing skin and hair, NadiaZ uses a lot of Ximenia oil in its Care Line, such as in Ximenia Face Serum, Pequi Kiss Lip Balm, New Life Body Butter, Malagasy Forest Hands & Feet Balm…
