NadiaZ perfumes may contain 15-150 plants which bear unique active ingredients and interact with each other in NadiaZ holistic compositions. The featured plants are a selection of some of them for you to discover. Please check the menu NadiaZ Ingredients to learn more about the brand repertoire. NadiaZ is involved in research on the specific phytotherapeutic properties of indigenous plants, however perfumes enter in the cosmetic category and not in the medicinal one, which is why legislation do not make it possible to describe those on this website or the brand documentations. Feel free to google them or check on Wikipedia to get more information, or send an email for specific questions.

Ximenia Oil (Ximenia americana):

Also called butterfly tree due to the shape of it leaves, Mopane only occurs in Southern Africa where it is prized by elephants. Its wood is extremely strong and termite resistant and its oil bearing anti-fungal and antiseptic properties reminiscent of turpentine with surprising grass and sweet notes. Scaly Hedgehog (Sarcodon imbricatus):
Nadia and her father personally collect edible wild Swiss mushrooms, some highly prized for their gustative properties and others which are largely ignored. She also procures them from continental Europe, among other places, to prepare exclusive extracts through her bespoke production techniques. Mushroom availability varies immensely between the seasons by and year, thus the proportion used in perfumes can vary. Sarcodon imbricatus is an edible autumn mushrooms growing in pine forests in Switzerland and also present in the rest of Europe and North America. It has a powerful bitter, peppery and earthy flavor. Recent research show immunoenhancement and anti-tumor capabilities of the polysaccharides of this mushroom. More research is needed to explore its potential for the treatment of immunosuppressive disease.

Use
Being ultra-concentrated and plant-based, this perfume is very special, creating a long-lasting scented layer marrying with the skin. So spray from a distance, on skin not exposed to the sun, leave 4 mins —until the alcohol evaporates— and only THEN smell. Unlike other NadiaZ perfumes, for a stronger scent, apply to clothes. This composition is very delicate and can be altered by other scents (soaps, laundry, body lotions…).

Caution
Shake before use to avoid blocking the spray pump. In case of blockage, remove the pump top and rinse well with water. Remove the shona stone lid first since this is not fixed to the cap. Once the bottle is empty, the stone can be removed from the cap and used for decoration and in art collections.

For external use only. Do not use on children and, as a precaution, avoid using perfumes during pregnancy. Many essential oils can cause photo-sensitivity therefore do not use on skin exposed to the sun. All perfumes contain volatile substances; asthmatics may be best advised to test their reaction first, to apply in a well-ventilated place, and to choose roll-on applicators. Wear this perfume for special days or nights, or alternate with other NadiaZ creations to diversify your exposure to valuable yet powerful plants constituents. It is not advisable for people with liver conditions. Do not use on light colored fabrics; for colored fabrics, test first on a small patch, and spray from a distance after mixing well to avoid oil staining.

Allergies
Contains tree nuts, kernel and unrefined virgin seed oils. May have been in contact with bee and dairy products. To limit the occurrence of allergies, it is recommendable to reduce sources of allergens at home (ambient perfumes, deodorizers, scented candles, harsh detergents, humidity and molds, smoke, etc) and test for food or contact allergies.

Storage
Store in a dark, dry and cool place. This is a natural product subject to small variations in color, scent and texture. This product is highly inflammable; keep away from any flame or heat, no not spray on an open flame or other ignition source. Keep out of reach from children. In case of ingestion, consult a doctor immediately. In case of contact with the eyes, rinse immediately and consult a doctor. Use before expiration date (24 months).

NadiaZ formulations favor the preservation of the active ingredients by using virgin plant oils, thus many perfumes have several highly valuable phases, or sediments, which need to be blended by shaking before use. Waxes and butters may solidify in cold and regain fluidity when gently warmed up with your hands or in lukewarm water.

As many of the perfume ingredients are wild indigenous plants extracts, NadiaZ perfumes may vary slightly in scent, depending on ingredient origin, climate and harvest conditions, extraction methods and processing. While all NadiaZ ingredients concentrations are adjusted by the perfumer’s nose, NadiaZ aims for uttermost quality in its materials, without standardization, sourcing them from a wide variety of locations and producers. This minimizes their ecological footprint and involves working with smaller communities. As a result, this limits the environmental impact on a single geographical origin and improves the sustainability of harvesting practices, as well as reducing climatic risks.

About perfume aging

As a policy NadiaZ recommends to follow the storage instructions and expiration date as per the cosmetics legislation, particularly as we cannot guarantee the quality of your storage conditions at home. However, as for Grand Cru wines, some perfumes have aging potential and other not. NadiaZ perfume compositions make a great use of resins that just like oud, vetiver or ambergris, get more complexity with time, while citrus require a special attention due to their oxydative susceptibility. NadiaZ unique formulations and indigenous oil mix ensure an improved stability, however they remain natural and thus fragile.    In our workshop, perfumes are aged first till optimal level, tested regularly for stability and scent profile evolution and only poured in individual bottles fresh before sale. Mini-formats should never be aged as their small volume size and unsealed bottle present more risk for oxidation.

    http://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Nadia-Z/Anji-Bamboo-Mist-39887.html

    Leramoon:

Very naturalistic aroma, where all sorts of natural tones are collected – greens, earth, air, water, fire, ether – all the
elements are combined into a single whole. The aroma is very voluminous, it is difficult to isolate individual notes, it is
something from a series of perfumery icosahedron and tetrahedra … Of course, Nadia Z’s perfumery is not “easy reading”,
all its fragrances call for thinking and, above all, for the ability to listen to yourself, your feelings, and develop olfactory
skills. I can not imagine this flavor somewhere in the subway or at a party, it is most likely not possible.
The start is bright, rather more than tropical greenery, unknown plant fragrances mixed with the odor of a fat, unfamiliar
soil, slightly moist and teeming with the life of another world …
I have a feeling that all notes sound simultaneously and immediately, due to this, a volume of aroma is created.
Personally, I do not really like the flavor, because The fat, oily hint causes mild nausea, but the realism of the landscape is
absolute, i.e. inflicting fragrance, the consciousness transfers immediately to a completely different reality – some
unfamiliar forests and sounds … I clearly understand that this fragrance is a therapeutic action, because the concentration
of 100% natural components prepared for the perception of the hypothalamus, rolls over. In the bottle are visible droplets
of more dense oils. My fragrance causes a feeling of anxiety, most likely because of its outlandishness and singularity,
since I find myself in a completely unknown world, where I don’t understand where to expect surprises … Reading the
pyramid, I do not see clear associations with one or another component, perhaps breathing in the scent and reading the
pyramid at the same time, only some indoloity of the white flowers mentioned in the pyramid comes to mind … Nadia’s
fragrances are like a canvas, in a single copy next to a large circulation posters, I understand that not all the naturalistic
sounds of the components are known to me at all, and therefore I perceive the composition completely in my
interpretation. Everyone will hear something of their own in it, this is the unique Nadia Z perfumery. As it unfolds, the fat,
unpleasant note to me subsides, and the fragrance becomes more floral, seasoned with spices; I could already wear such
a scent. But the feeling of exotic, something completely strange does not leave me … .. The alarm also goes away and the
feeling of pleasure from every breath spreads through my body … This is something unique! I understand that this flavor is
not for every day, but for some special cases; perhaps it will help someone to open creative channels, if you meditate with
him for some time, because the aroma reveals some new layers of the subconscious … Unforgettable, completely new
    olfactory experience! Thanks Nadia!

    Cassiano:
Anji Bamboo Mist was created in 2016 and depicts the emotions and sensations of walking along the Anji Bamboo forest
trails, located in Zhejiang Province, in China, four hours away from Shanghai. The forest is known for its fresh air and for
being the setting for the movie “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon”.
To convey the scent of the bamboo leaves scattered on the floor during the morning mist, the perfumer worked with green,
floral, and slightly fruity accords. When it’s about flowers, she used the Chinese Aglaia (also known as Chinese perfume
tree), Australian Boronia, tuberose, and coffee flower. For the woody part, she used Palo Santo, Mopane of the African
Savannah (also known as Butterfly Tree) and wild mushrooms. Also, she combined roots, herbs, and spices, as well as
indigenous oils, such as Bacaba (Amazonian palm with fruits of avocado aroma) and Ximenia (also known as African
    Sour Plum).
Anji Bamboo Mist is sold as unisex but has a rather masculine fougère approach, which may not be appealing to many
women. Its scent is rich, pungent, green and woody. The idea of fresh air we have in our culture falls to the ground when
we feel this fragrance. Here, freshness burns through our nostrils as if we were inside a moist forest. It must be left aside
the idea that freshness is connected with citrus notes to understand the beauty of Anji Bamboo Mist.
The green and oily liquid imparts what happens on the skin. Boronia is exuberant, with its fruity-spiced content, which
mixes with the consistency of Ximenia (which resembles honey). In fact, shaking the bottle a little before spraying is a
valuable tip, because the fragrances of the house are produced with 100% natural oils and extracts and it is possible to
notice dense particles that can damage the valve.
On the other hand, because it does not have synthetic molecules in its composition, it exudes a lot but does not last in an
exaggerated way. Its evolution is directly linked to the chemistry of the skin and, on mine, lasted about five hours.
Particularly, I never went through a bamboo forest, but the experience of getting out of the routine from the city made of
stones and closing my eyes for a few minutes transported me to what I imagine to be such a place. Anji Bamboo Mist is
the perfect perfume for those who enjoy the smell of closed forest, with many types of woods, earth, plants, and mosses.

    nardius:

Super floral, green/leafy and a bit spicy. I tend not to go for florals so I can’t be much more specific than that. Like everything else from NadiaZ, this has an earthiness at the base that is always detectable, but more noticeable the closer you get.

    tibetano:
Anji Bamboo overflows live and intensity. A green splendor that transport you to a Bamboo forest after the rain. Real, pure and free.
