“Nature in the City. Evanescent, unexpected and celestial like a clean spring breeze in Tokyo, or the quintessential smell of rain penetrating from the countryside.”
Ethereal, Rainy Clean, Floral Fresh, Discrete though Penetrating.

Japanese Spring. Man. Natural Perfume.

Atmosphere
Spring in the City, as a soft clean breeze from nature irrupting in modern men and women busy lives, ephemeral like the delicate smell after the rain. Modernity and Tradition are reunited in this conceptual, unexpected, pheromonal yet antithetical composition almost as if emanating directly from the mineral stars.

Notes
A well-kept secret encompassing what can best be described as the scent of rain. It draws its original and ethereal nature from the very scarce Namibian Omumbungu Resin, the narcotic emanations of Hyacinth refreshed by the earthy and masculine touch whose character is strengthened by a hint of pheromonal Hyraceum.

Closest olfactive family
Unlike any. Closest to Fresh and Floral.

Aromatherapy
Calming, comforting and discretely aphrodisiac.

NadiaZ perfumes may contain 15-150 plants which bear unique active ingredients and interact with each other in NadiaZ holistic compositions. The featured plants are a selection of some of them for you to discover. Please check the menu NadiaZ Ingredients to learn more about the brand repertoire. NadiaZ is involved in research on the specific phytotherapeutic properties of indigenous plants, however perfumes enter in the cosmetic category and not in the medicinal one, which is why legislation do not make it possible to describe those on this website or the brand documentations. Feel free to google them or check on Wikipedia to get more information, or send an email for specific questions.

Omumbungu Resin (Commiphora krauselliana):
Also called Tree of the Hyena and native to the southern African region, it is considered as black magic by the Himba people in Namibia who fear to use it in their perfumes. It bears a watery, slightly animalistic and yet clean and almost mineral scent that can best be described by the poetical image of a moonlight ray of scent. It is an extremely scarce material which makes this perfume a very, very limited edition.

omumbungu

Hyacinth (Hyacinthus orientalis):
Only the most delicate enfleurage that can best capture the subtlety of this highly fragile scent is used. Its notes are of extreme depths, narcotic while surprisingly ethereal.

jacinthe

jacinthe-field

Bacuri (Platonia insignis):
Native from the Amazonian forest in Brazil where the brown and pungent Bacuri Butter is used as traditional remedy and for its very high absorption rate due to its high levels of tripalmitin. NadiaZ is the first brand to valorize this indigenous resource for the making of perfumes, in which it provides an earthy note of great complexity.

African Stone (Hyraceum):
A fossilized waste used to mark the territory of the Cape Hyrax, a close relative from the elephant living in large colonies in the wild in the South African plains and looking like an irresistibly cute giant rodent. This product is valorized, sustainably and ethically collected in the wild by communities providing an effective way to both generate income for the local population as well as preserve the animal and its environment. It is then extracted in a clean tincture that is rich in pheromone like substances, which powerful effect on emotions is only recently being acknowledged by modern science and researched.

Ximenia Oil (Ximenia americana):
Also known as African Sour Plum and originating from the Southern Africa Savannah, this oil has a unique honey-like consistency and is extremely moisturizing. It is reputed to be antimicrobial, and stimulates the sebaceous glands, promoting optimal skin functions. It is an excellent fixative for perfumes, thus creating lasting aromas.

Use
Being ultra-concentrated and plant-based, this perfume is very special, creating a long-lasting scented layer marrying with the skin. So spray from a distance, on skin not exposed to the sun, leave 4 mins —until the alcohol evaporates— and only THEN smell. Unlike other NadiaZ perfumes, for a stronger scent, apply to clothes. This composition is very delicate and can be altered by other scents (soaps, laundry, body lotions…).

Caution
Shake before use to avoid blocking the spray pump. In case of blockage, remove the pump top and rinse well with water. Remove the shona stone lid first since this is not fixed to the cap. Once the bottle is empty, the stone can be removed from the cap and used for decoration and in art collections.

For external use only. Do not use on children and, as a precaution, avoid using perfumes during pregnancy. Many essential oils can cause photo-sensitivity therefore do not use on skin exposed to the sun. All perfumes contain volatile substances; asthmatics may be best advised to test their reaction first, to apply in a well-ventilated place, and to choose roll-on applicators. Wear this perfume for special days or nights, or alternate with other NadiaZ creations to diversify your exposure to valuable yet powerful plants constituents. It is not advisable for people with liver conditions. Do not use on light colored fabrics; for colored fabrics, test first on a small patch, and spray from a distance after mixing well to avoid oil staining.

Allergies
Contains tree nuts, kernel and unrefined virgin seed oils. May have been in contact with bee and dairy products. To limit the occurrence of allergies, it is recommendable to reduce sources of allergens at home (ambient perfumes, deodorizers, scented candles, harsh detergents, humidity and molds, smoke, etc) and test for food or contact allergies.

Storage
Store in a dark, dry and cool place. This is a natural product subject to small variations in color, scent and texture. This product is highly inflammable; keep away from any flame or heat, no not spray on an open flame or other ignition source. Keep out of reach from children. In case of ingestion, consult a doctor immediately. In case of contact with the eyes, rinse immediately and consult a doctor. Use before expiration date (24 months).

NadiaZ formulations favor the preservation of the active ingredients by using virgin plant oils, thus many perfumes have several highly valuable phases, or sediments, which need to be blended by shaking before use. Waxes and butters may solidify in cold and regain fluidity when gently warmed up with your hands or in lukewarm water.

As many of the perfume ingredients are wild indigenous plants extracts, NadiaZ perfumes may vary slightly in scent, depending on ingredient origin, climate and harvest conditions, extraction methods and processing. While all NadiaZ ingredients concentrations are adjusted by the perfumer’s nose, NadiaZ aims for uttermost quality in its materials, without standardization, sourcing them from a wide variety of locations and producers. This minimizes their ecological footprint and involves working with smaller communities. As a result, this limits the environmental impact on a single geographical origin and improves the sustainability of harvesting practices, as well as reducing climatic risks.

About perfume aging

As a policy NadiaZ recommends to follow the storage instructions and expiration date as per the cosmetics legislation, particularly as we cannot guarantee the quality of your storage conditions at home. However, as for Grand Cru wines, some perfumes have aging potential and other not. NadiaZ perfume compositions make a great use of resins that just like oud, vetiver or ambergris, get more complexity with time, while citrus require a special attention due to their oxydative susceptibility. NadiaZ unique formulations and indigenous oil mix ensure an improved stability, however they remain natural and thus fragile.    In our workshop, perfumes are aged first till optimal level, tested regularly for stability and scent profile evolution and only poured in individual bottles fresh before sale. Mini-formats should never be aged as their small volume size and unsealed bottle present more risk for oxidation.

    Japanese Spring Fragrance Reviews
    timorusaki:
Japanese Spring Man is not a fragrance that you’d thought to fall in love with. It’s not particularly sexy or attention pulling, in the common sense, but there’s a spiritualistic feel to this scent that after the first sniff it keeps you coming back for more.

The scent itself is very unique, a perfect blend of two genres of fragrances, Amber and Aquatic. This scent combines warm earthy resins with a touch of watery aquatic accord, creating a very soothing experience. As it dries down you’ll start to notice an amber-y type of sweetness coming through, but it’s very subtle in nature, which in my opinion, just perfect for this composition. The sweetness adds to the soothing and overall spiritual theme very well, if this was any sweeter it would lose this quality but in this blend it’s just perfect. The resin has a thick syrupy quality that when mix with the watery aquatic accord gives this fragrance a very interesting texture, completely different from anything I’ve ever smelled. What I love also is that the scent smells completely natural, and to some extends, very raw in a good way. You will definitely be able to smell the quality of the ingredients used and that’s hard to come by in most fragrances nowadays. I got to say, it had truly been eye opening testing this fragrance. It goes without saying that I really love it. It’s unique, high quality, and simply beautiful. The best way I can find to describe it is imagine earthy, warm, amber-y resins in the rain. It’s one of my most favorites from the house.

Longevity this sticks on clothes longer on clothes than on my skin. On clothes it last over a day, but on skin so far in the warmer weather I get about 6 hours, in the colder weather it doesn’t performs well, so this is definitely more of a summer fragrance.

Occasion this can actually be worn in any occasion, but I’d prefer it for indoors because of its subtle nature, it doesn’t push out very strongly, so it’ll struggle a bit if you wear it outdoors. I personally wear this scent when I’m thinking of relaxing at home or when I want to work on a project. It’s just very calming and perfect for those situations.

Conclusion, if you have the chance this house is definitely one everyone needs to at least sample. From a person who loves to discover unique fragrances, I can for certain say, this house gives one of the most unique in experiences that I’ve ever found.

    Japanese Spring Man:
Earthy and balsamic perfume with resins that provide creaminess. Slightly animalic and floral touch provided by hyacinth on a base of wood and African stone.

Aucune ressemblance. Le plus proche serait Frais et Floral.
Aromathérapie:
Calmant, réconfortant and discrètement aphrodisiaque.

Mode d’emploi:
